Denver Nuggets Announce Official Roster for 2023-24 Season

Team Prepares for Title Defense After Historic 2022-23 Campaign

Denver, CO (October 16, 2022)

The Denver Nuggets have unveiled their official roster for the upcoming 2023-24 NBA season. The team, which finished with a league-leading record of 53-29 last season, is looking to build on its success and capture its first NBA championship.

The Nuggets roster features a strong core led by reigning MVP Nikola Jokić and rising star Jamal Murray. Jokić, a Serbian center, has established himself as one of the most dominant players in the league, averaging 27.1 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per game last season. Murray, a Canadian guard, missed most of last season due to an ACL injury, but is expected to return to full strength this year.

In addition to Jokić and Murray, the Nuggets have added several key players to their roster, including guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, forward Bruce Brown, and center DeAndre Jordan. Caldwell-Pope, a veteran defender, was acquired from the Washington Wizards in exchange for Monte Morris. Brown, a versatile wing, was signed as a free agent after spending the past two seasons with the Brooklyn Nets. Jordan, a former All-Star, was signed to a one-year contract after being waived by the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Nuggets will face several challenges this season, including a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) that makes it more difficult for small-market teams to retain their stars. However, the team is confident that it has the talent and chemistry to overcome any obstacles and make a run at the title.

"We have a special group of guys here," Jokić said. "We know what it takes to win, and we're all committed to putting in the work. We're excited for the challenge and we're ready to compete for a championship."

The Nuggets will open their regular season on October 19 at home against the Utah Jazz.
